It is a genus of plants that follows the similar family of carnations. This plant species was named in honor of the French navigator and explorer Louis-Antoine de Bougainvillea. Bougainvillea plant climber or arboretum, and has several different colors, including white, pink, orange and red, the color that we see is not due to the color of flowers as everyone thinks is the color of the canals, while the flowers are small and tends to yellowish white.

Bougainvillea grows in warm sunny and warm weather. It grows excellent in the Arabian Gulf countries. The plant needs heavy irrigation in summer and mild in winter.
